Interest rates were lower in today’s Open Market Operations as the Fed essentially stood pat. The flood of Treasury Cash Management Bill (CMB) paydowns this week has finally had an effect in the money market, suppressing both the overnight Fed Funds rate and the rates at today’s repo auction. Conversely, the yield at the Treasury’s 2 year note auction rose 48 basis points from the level of the last such auction in March.
